THEME WOMEN’S EMANCIPATION AN ENDLESS STORY

After presenting the special edition of the World “Atlas of Women”, Michelle Perrot exposed the issue of Women who still have an unequal place compared to Men. His analysis shows that at all times the role of the woman was motherhood and taking care of domestic life and the man was responsible for supporting the family through his salary, his work. In the twentieth century, wars changed this socio-economic context a little, with women replacing men at work while they participated in the war. The 1970s liberated women from their bodies through contraception and abortion.

Nevertheless, inequalities persist with regard to wages and their status, with the lowest paid wages often devolved to women. The future will always require women to put themselves more in the spotlight.
